  ■ 수업 소개
  - A conversation and discussion class based around a short reading on a given topic.
  - The course offers extensive opportunity for participants to speak in English, to share their ideas on the given topic with a partner or a small group. As the title explains, we will read in English, think in English, and then speak in English!
  
  ■ 강의 내용
  Topics will be on relatively everyday items that all participants will have experience of and opinions on: issues interesting enough for discussion, but nothing controversial or difficult to talk about.
  Each class follows a similar pattern:
  - Warm-up (small groups) - discussion based on a prompt or pictures to provide background to the main topic
  - Vocabulary Review - short explanation of key terms from the reading (lecture)
  - Reading (whole class). This will be a short text. Topics will vary: some will be short news clips, others extracts from longer articles or readings.
  - Post-reading discussion - sharing opinions on the reading text content (pairs or small groups)
  - Extended discussion - further conversation extending the main topic, based on follow-on questions (pairs or small groups)
  - Vocabulary in Action - conversation questions utilising the key vocabulary introduced in the text (pair work)
  - Natural English - a short segment introducing a useful word or phrase that is common to native speakers but likely unfamiliar in Korea since it rarely appears in classic textbook material (brief lecture; pair work)
  - Wrap up
  
  ■ 주의 사항
  Full understanding of the reading article is not needed to participate in class. The discussion will be about the topic in general so that everyone can contribute. Complex/controversial topics are avoided.
